Wiring ALPs pot

Dear All,
I'm confused how to wire the following pot, I wired it up and have sound but no volume control. I basically ignored the extra grounds but this doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone have any experience. I'm confused as I have a L and R xlr hot, cold and ground but this PCB seems to have a 4 grounds. Do I need to "bridge" something here?

Each gang of the pot needs a ground connection so you have four connections to make. I assume they are all separated on the PCB to give you freedom over grounding schemes but ultimately all four points need to be grounded.

I would think so.

Just think of it as four separate pots as far as wiring goes. The signal controlled by the pot is always from the middle pin, that is the output. The input signal goes to one of the end pins and ground to the other. As long as each of the four gangs has a ground connection it will work.

It is very important looking at that picture that you fit the pot into the correct holes and also on the correct side of the board. To be sure turn the pot to minimum (anticlockwise as it would be when fixed to the front panel) and confirm that the middle pin reads near zero ohms to the end pin that will locate in the ground hole on the board. The other end pin should then connect to the input pad on the board.

Excellent 👍

Its never easy juggling images but it did look wrong. I think as well as flipping the board upside down you could just spin the board 180 degrees... often easier with it in front of you though.
