Hello, I have an old 80s model jvc amplifier/ receiver and the only outputs it has on it are group one and two speaker wire outputs. The issue is, i just fixed an old klipsch subwoofer that i found on marketplace and the only input it has is RCA or Sub in. How do i go about connecting these two items together? Would connecting wire that has up to 60w running through it to an RCA input on a sub be harmful or would it even do anything?

Line level input only. Don't hook up to the speaker outputs. 
Lots of old amps have pre out - main in jumpers. Just get one of those and make some "Y" jumpers.

No. The other option is to sell your sub and get one that has speaker level inputs.

yeah i have a polk psw10 that has speaker inputs and that’s what my system is running off of now
Yes, the SVS SoundPath speaker level subwoofer adapter should work.
However, that is just a simple voltage divider circuit and is easy to DIY.
