I'm putting together my SSE and have a quick question about internal wire choices. I have a whole bunch of this stuff lying around (solid core silver plated mil-spec 20 awg wire, rated at 600v and 200 C). Will this work for all of the internal wiring, including grounding, signal wire, IEC hookup, etc? Or should I look for something thicker, both in terms of insulation (this wire is really thin) and in terms of gauge? Is there any benefit to getting shielded cable for the signal wiring, rather than just doing a twisted pair with this wire? From reading previous threads it seems like it should work, but better safe than sorry. Thanks!
That size cable is OK for most internal wiring that is not high current like heater supply on output valves. The voltage and temperature rating is OK.
Twisted pair is for low impedance balanced signal and screened is for high impedance signal.
