I am unable to access the Help and Support Center....or indeed Help (F1) in Word...on one of my PCs..
Anyone have a solution??
Anyone have a solution??
Did it ever work?
Did you restart the PC?
Did you update with Windows update->Office update?
If all this doens't help, try reinstalling Office (click repair)

Yes ...on all counts...
Mike,
Do I understand correctly that pressing F1 from the Windows desktop fails to bring up the Windows system help? If so, this is a system problem. You might have to do a repair install of Windows. If you do that, and the XP CD is older than your current service pack, you'll need to reinstall the latest service pack.
I've never tried this, but you didn't attempt to uninstall Internet Explorer by any chance, did you? The Windows HTML help needs IE in order to work. Idiotic design, but that's the way it is.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Maybe the F1 key is broken on your keyboard, or there's just too much breadcrumbs under the key.

Right Click on My Computer and select Manage. Select Services & Applications then Services. Make sure The service Help & Support is set to Automatic and is started. Then try it.
