Which SB woofer

Which SB woofer (or alternatives) for a 35liter sealed box crossing at 500-700hz.

SB29NRX75-8 is fairly new I think with no hits on a google and gives the same profile in WINISD as the WO24P-4, is 8ohm, has a larger SD, a couple more mm Xmax and looks like a more benign breakup but drops 3dB in sensitivity.

Has anyone heard or worked with the SB29 8 ohm, what do you think ?

Which would you choose, if neither then what else ?

I'm curious too. Cause I have two SB23NRX - but more want more 😀
Thought about both the WO24, but also going for something else like the Dayton woofers - since they should be able to work in smaller and closed boxes, for at more precise and smoother off-rolling bass.

I can 2nd that about the Satori WO24. Its a pretty good sealed box woofer and appears to have very low distortion, even at higher excursion. It also works well in vented applications and goes down flat to 28 Hz, but i haven't used it much that way as i prefer sealed enclosures. The lighter cone makes this a fast sounding driver. I'm using the 8 ohm version x 2 in parallel per side in a 3 way with Scan Speak D75MX41 and Audax TW025A28 crossed over at 900/3.5k in aperiodic enclosure.

Thanks for the responses, looking promising for the WO24P.

@profiguy, sound like a similar set up to the one I am looking at - WO24P-4 sealed in 35l box for Q=0.7, Morel EM1308 dome mid at 600hz and Wavecor TW033WA10 for tweeter at around 3.5-4khz. Crossover is acoustic LR2 across the board (via active crossover). All this in a 70’s inspired Monkey box with golden ratio (1.62:1) internal dimensions. The 600hz bass/mid is what Troels used in his SBA941 and the 35l is what Jeff Bagby used in his Helios but with a SB29 passive radiator (a later option I guess). This all models very well with phase pretty much coincident for at least 1 octave either side of the crossover points (more like 2 octaves).

I use an SB34NRX75-6 in a sealed box, active crossover with 250W amp, 20 Hz to 200 Hz.

It seems that the SB34NRX75 and the SB29NRX75 are very similar, one being a 12" driver and the other a 10". Based on a casual observation, I would guess the motor is basically the same.

If the 10 is as good as the 12, but slightly smaller, I think it will serve you well.

The best 10” I could see that goes up to 500-700Hz in a small 35L is the L26ROY. Excellent distortion and bandwidth.

If you can have bit more cabinet volume I don’t think there’s anything that beats the 10” Scan Revelator 26W/4867T00.

The SB29RNX75-6 looks ok but i haven’t seen any non-linear distortion measurements on it. The

The Peerless XXLS-P835037 has F3/F10 of 48/28Hz in 35L sealed, but again, I haven’t seen any measurements of that either.

Any oldie but a goodie-
The original Peerless XLS; won’t go as high as 700Hz but excellent as a subwoofer up to 200Hz.

What's old is NEW again. Peerless XLS in sealed box, F3= 23Hz -

Thank you. I'm currently experimenting with some thick long threaded wool for my midranges, instead of felt and other synthetic materials. Seems like the way more fluffy and thick(heavier) wool dampens the enclosure better.
One cabinet was filled with the wool and the other with the old material - and just by using my voice, you could actually hear that the wool dampend the enclosure better. Not scientific - but gotta start somewhere 😀
