Which DSP solution should I choose?

My source is a dedicated audio PC running JRiver. After reading Mitch’s articles and watching his videos I became totally persuaded that DSP was the way to go and I will probably buy his HLC.

My dilemma is which DSP solution to choose? Acourate seems to be the ultimate solution but I think it would be beyond my pay grade. AudioLense seems to be a bit more user friendly and so that is on my shortlist. I’ve also seen favourable reports about FIRDesigner so that is also on the shortlist. So I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has experience of both of these solutions (including @mitchba if you are reading this Mitch) and might care to comment on their pros and cons.

My main goal is to create crossover filters and implement phase / time correction. DRC is of lower importance to me.

For completeness I should add that I have a RME Fireface UFX that I will use as a multichannel DAC
