First of all sorry if the thread is in wrong section
2ndly, hello i am new here . First post
Now, on topic,
I just happen to find a really old 8Ohm 75RMS phillips subwoofer lying around.
i have the sub only, nothing else.
Currently i am running this thing with a cheap tpa3116d2 board
Running with a 24v PSU. But if i am not wrong i am getting max (24x.6x24x.6)/8 = 26w RMS
i want a cheap amp which can drive it to the max potential.
I can have 36v PSU but strictly DC.

On a 24V PSU you'd max out around 35 watts RMS into 8 ohms. Probably less.
At 36V if the chip doesn't mind it, you might get 75 watts.

mate, AFAIK TPA3116d2 can be driven @max 26v so, yeah i am stuck @24v with it, thats why asking..On a 24V PSU you'd max out around 35 watts RMS into 8 ohms. Probably less.

yeah, bro thats why i need another amp, if u guys could suggets.what about tda7498?Never mind. The chip is rated for 26 volts max. Stick with the 24V PSU.
Yes, see my post above yours, sorry.
yes. no problem mate
any suggetsions?
AFAIK tda7498 can take upto 36v right?
Yes, it looks like a good choice and should not have a problem at 36 volts.
Check the datasheet to see if you can connect the outputs in parallel. That can help if you are just running a single woofer.

Yes bro even if i am a complete noob on this matter, i tried to research and found couple of boards.
Could u guys plz take a look...

Thanks for the input. But , yes it is abit stretch to by budget 😛

I find that difficult to believe £16 is minimal.
I find that difficult to believe £16 is minimal.
Well i can afford it.
But what do u know..
just imagine a person from a third world country who is currently jobless for the pandemic ,pursuing his hobby 😛
If i am not wrong guys isnt tda7498 recommended max voltage 39v?
I'd probably got 32V from a typical board spec - 35V capacitors fitted.
TDA7498E boards usually fitted with 50V capacitors.

COULD U MAN LOOK AT THESE... ARE THEY 50V CAPS . i feel like they are
