Anyone know where to buy good but fairly cheap dual SMPS supplies for Class-D amps in Europe?
Now that we almost get a fine for ordering anything in China, we need some good alternatives to eBay.
Need Dual voltage + 1x15V + 1x12V
There is of course Hypex, but wouldn't mind somethin a bit lower priced per Watt
Thanks, Baldin

Audiophonics (in france) have the dual SMPS from Connex who (mostly?) have auxiliary outputs like +-12V.
Also have a look at the ones from Micro Audio.

Actually the fine is less now, because you pay VAT with your purchase but you do not pay any customs fees (at least on Aliexpress - haven't bought anything on ebay for a while).Anyone know where to buy good but fairly cheap dual SMPS supplies for Class-D amps in Europe?

If you want EU alternatives, then yes audiophonics is more or less in a class of one now.
Hey joensd and Nisbeth
Thanks for input. Yes also saw the Audiophonics site.
Yes Connex is a good bet. I have used 2 of their SMPS modules before (180W modules).
One is still going happily, on died without any apparent reason!
So have been a bit hesitant, and they are still a bit on the expensive side.
@Nisbeth ... have you tried to order something from Aliexpress lately?
Seems they are collecting VAT and using the Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) number.
So does it work?
Did you have to pay the handle fee for the delivery company (postal of courier)??
I think it is still 150 dkk or something.

I do not see that the Connex modules have the 2 separate aux output I would need
I would need 3 outputs e.g.
Rail: +-50V
Aux1: +-15V (for low level input section)
Aux2: +12V (with separate ground) used for the gate drive and tied to the negative rail
Anyway I see they have these:
Switching Power Supply Module 700W +/-30V - Audiophonics
A module I have also bought from eBay recently .... good price also 🙂

I have made more than 10 orders since they changed the rules and I have had to pay VAT at check-out (it now says "VAT included in the price") but no import fees or additional VAT/duty afterwards. And for all the packages tracking show that they have been through customs as well, so it isn't just an exception.@Nisbeth ... have you tried to order something from Aliexpress lately?

Full disclosure: I do have one order that looks like it's being rejected. I got a letter asking me to pay VAT and fee and I contested the charges with a copy of the invoice which shows 25% added. However, it looks like the package has been rejected by customs anyway.
This is however the only order that has been shipped via Hungarian Post so I'm guessing that it's either a shipper or a carrier screw-up. All the normal orders via Ali's own shipping system or Chinese post have no problems.
