where does this circuit come from?

I copied this circuit on Nov. 08 19. I remember the author describing it as tape recorder amplifier design by a very known designer . Any clues to find the schematic with values ?

Yees, indeed , only Ampex should have to provide high quality for its studio recorders. Thank you very much , I will search on line for Ampex recorder references.

I think such a circuit would never be build and never be used today. Too many electrolytics in the signal path, too many trimmers for DC adjustment.
We did learn a lot the last half century ;-)
