Frankly, I keep building projects that require way too many holes thus the chassis are always tedious to drill by hand. Is there a common internet outlet for custom chassis that is used on diyaudio?
I got a quote from protocase for a tube guitar amp chassis but at $600 a chassis it's a bit steep.

Commercial places are going to charge about that much. Find some guy who works
out of his garage, and give him a case of beer.

What about fabricators that offer quantity discounts? I may produce future items in quantity, so starting a relationship with a business that is expensive in low quantities is okay if I know I can get chassis costs down.
I see studio equipment clone shops selling their units for $800 or less so it's really hard for me to imagine they're spending the majority of that on the chassis. There has to be a break somewhere haha.

Yes, large scale production amortizes the setup costs, and material is less as well.
I urge you to work with a local business, because things will be much easier that way.
Bear in mind that the cost of materials should be no more than 20% of the retail cost
to make a profit in production. Prototypes are normally quite expensive, however.

Will do; got some quote requests out. Sometimes you have to talk to people and I generally avoid that haha.
