Poobah's house:
Some quick fried bell peppers and shallots (yes, I actually had a real shallot), a touch a cream, tossed with scrambled eggs. A toasted slice of Caraway Rye (baked THIS morning at a real bakery) with real butter made from the rest of the cream.
Sometimes... life rocks!

We've been opting for tea around here... trying to lose the soda. Do you Brits fancy the green teas at all?

Well, they do have a following, and I'm not afraid to admit I have a cup every now and again, but for me, being a Yorkshireman, I was trained at birth to drink the more commercial black tea, and it's still what I go back to.
The fruit teas are quite popular amongst the Ladies over here, as well as Darjeeling or Lapsang Sushong amongst other varietals.
However, I still remember sitting in the Sahara desert, drinking very strong, very sweet mint teas, whilst chatting and looking at the stars. Amazing, and it just doesn't do the same thing when I drink it now.
It's Fathers' Day, so I'm celebrating a bit. My usual black coffee (fresh-ground from a local roaster) plus toast and an egg custard not dissimilar to chawan mushi. And fresh cherries (it's the peak of the season).
Red Chief is chowing down on corn dogs and laughing at me.

For me, normally a pair of poached eggs, toast and strong black coffee.
Last night my youngest daughter made some more fresh spearment tea. Leaves were fresh off the plant. Very enjoyable.
Stuart,
Anita is now experimenting along the lines of the meal you prepared for us. I've had too much goat cheese as of late. I am looking forward to tonight's salad.
Look what you've done !! 😉

Kids are tricky that way Chris... have to be careful about what you teach them. Mine have gotten so used to the variety. I can't go out and leave them home with a box of microwave burritos anymore.
🙁
I can still sucker them with build-your-own pizzas though.

Hi poobah,
I'm training mine to look after me when I'm old(er). I plan to eat very, very well. 😉
Building pizza and lasagna around here is a wonderful thing! 😀
Cal,
Everything is eaten here too. Although it may end up within another recipe.

Jacco,
It IS Father's Day... at least in the U.S. You deserve better.
Cal,
At least tell me it was a Nathan's hotdog...

Actually it was one brought back from "Whalley Days" (local carnival) yesterday. So it already had some miles on it before it hit the fridge. Now that's recycling.

My kid wasn't here on fathers day, so it's a beer and a headache.
I had brecky this afternoon, raw salmon and stuff. (after a beer, and a headache, doing the fat sausage stuff doesn't really work well with high 80s temperature

At the risk of spoiling this thread: nicotine and caffeine.
Asparagus season was short so I'm getting hold of my old habits again.
/Hugo 🙂

Hugo,
That is a Monday breakfast you describe.
Asparagus was $2 per kilo here. We blanched (10 seconds in boiling water) and froze a bunch... it's actrually very good.

Different kinds of bread, rice bunns, etc. Milk, Ice tea (sonetimes green sometimes black), ice brewed coffee, etc. Well, some thing different every day.
Today I had bread with tuna inside, and milk.

Scrambled eggs, homemade hash browns onions and fried tomato. Not the usual, but winter's just starting. It got down to about 14F last night.
Normally, I'd be with Pinkmouse.
