Ever see some drivers that look good and you cannot pass up because the price is right? Well, I bought these six drivers for $200.00 USD.

Two SB Acoustics SB29RDC-C000-4 Tweeters

SB29RDC-C000-4 :: SB Acoustics

and

Four Tymphany Peerless HDS Nomex Woofers 830869 Woofers

Driver Detail | Tymphany

I think the ideal use for them would be in a ported 2-1/2 cubic foot floor standing speaker in a 2.5 configuration, but I don't have the space for that.

So, I am thinking about a ported isobaric 2 way system in a ~0.65 cubic foot box,

or a sealed 2.5 way in a ~1 cubic foot box.

What would you make with these if you wanted a box ~ 1 cubic foot or less?

These will be used with a sub woofer.

Add in an 8" waveguide.

You can see some stuff with the neo version of that tweeter Feb 5th on Zaphs blog

Zaph|Audio

Build a TMM, crossover at about 1700Hz for a decent directivity match. Preferably crossing as low as is possible, whilst maintaining a good directivity match to help the vertical off axis.

The SB29 worked pretty well in a Visaton WG148R 6.5" waveguide for me. The fitment is a little funky because the mouth of the wg is a little too small and the SB29 faceplate is not flat. I just put a foam gasket on the faceplate to seal it against the wg and it seemed to work well. Could cross at ~1.4kHz LR4. I suspect milling the waveguide down until the mouth is at the correct diameter may perform even better.
