Hi all,
I'm currently building my 3-ways loudspeaker (separate cabinet for bass and Medium+Tweeter) based on the following speakers
Scanspeak D2905, 18W/8545K00, 25W/8561 all are 8ohms nominal except the tweeter that is rated at 6Ohms.
The sensitivity of the loudspeaker is in the range of 88-89dB.
All this stuff is going to be installed in a 45 squaremeters room.
I have been looking during hours to the amplifier that would suit the best, reading post after post (learnt a lot bye the way)
but unfortunately I'm not yet at that stage !
My main concern is around power required, are the 10 watts of the F3 sufficient for example or shall I look to one of the more
powerfull aleph.
Other question is the importance of the dumping factor, Shall I look to a specific range, knowing that I'm listening to various
lounge music where bass can be quit strong !
I would really appreciate your advises
Thanks, Raoul

10W in a 45m2 room with average sensitivity speakers will allow you to listen to unaccompanied violin. Add a piano and it won't handle it too well 🙂
To achieve any realism with dynamic music in that room you'll be looking at more than 100W. Or at least i will.

As a rule of thumb you can add the power of all three channels of
each side to decide if you have enough. 3 X 30 watts is going to
behave roughly as a 100 watt full range.
