Ok, after solving my dilemmas with 511b horn (ordered PSD2002), I now struggle what to do with bass enclosure for my 2way with Eminence Kappa 15a. I initially thought to either do BR or shorter TL, which now seems to easy, because I have done it before. Since I haven't read diyaudio for 10 years or do, I discovered all those enclosures as XKi, Karlsonator, T15.... I would definitely like to try K aperture. Size is not an issue. I would like it to be wide as 511b horn, which is ~60cm.
So, after few days od reading it seems that Kappa 15a in regular K15 is safe bet?
Or should I resize Karlsonator to get desired width?

Links to XKi T15, K15, Karlsonator would be nice. I have no idea what K aperture means.
I have two Deltapro-15a but was planning to put them in 2 vented boxes to keep internal pressure down. Qt=.4 goes either vented or sealed. I want to use 1/2" MDF sides back bottom top to keep weight <50 lb. Kappa-15a is suitable only for vented box, Qt .32.
So far I'm planning a simple parallelapiped box ID 23"x22" x height to equal VAS for low frequency of Fs , 42 for delta & 33 for your kappa. Per David Weems 4th ed.
I realize having cross paths equal now maximizes resonances at 562 hz, but I don't have any inexpensive way to haul home 4'x8' board sheets. Your plan of wide shallow box follows Mr. Weems recommendation of "golden ratio" dimensions table 3.1. My tweeter horn will be external to the box to save weight when I lift woofer on the 2m high poles. Can add tweeter later on a flat face flange, no enclosure.
I'm planning on using a PVC toilet flange for the vent on the front. About the right ID & I can push 3" PVC pipe into it if I want to lengthen the path. Can cut round holes with a sabre saw, then use wood screw to the back of front panel.
I also realize having Fb lower than eminence recommended useable 54 hz (52 for Kappa) risks exceeding Xmax, but I hope operating at 70 W instead of rated 400 W will solve that problem. I don't need 400 w in my music room. I do need 32 hz organ and 26 hz piano notes sometimes. No, I don't want a 3rd channel sub.

Hello, it's a vast subject. I am still discovering it. K aperture is a name for speaker with "acoustic lens" , used by John Karlson in his enclosures.

XKi and Karlsonator are modern day versions of such enclosures, which were "born" on this forum
