What to do with a 6L6-GC?

Hi guys. I was taking a look at my junk box and I found a Hitachi 6L6-GC. Is there anything I can do with that? Other than making the filament glow...

I mean JUST that tube. I'm not getting any others because this is just pure curiosity. I would like to make something with whatever is in my junk box.

Thanks,
Hernan

I can't think of much you could do with a solitary 6L6GC, unless you've got some source with lots of voltage drive. I'd guess you'd need at least a good 50 volts or so. You be in a better position if you had a 12AX7 or 12AT7 or something to use as a driver tube. Of course, you're gonna need a power transformer and an output transformer too.

Unless you've got a well stocked junk box, you might be right. Go find a 1 amp, 6.3 volt power supply (wall wart, etc). Hook it up and watch the heater glow.
