I've got 8 brand new M26-WR09-08 woofers sitting in boxes and wanted to do something fitting with them. These are very good sounding drivers, even by today's standards. I just wanted to get the best use from them in some type of project. I was thinking some sort of large 3 way ala Dunlavy. I also have 2 SS D2905-9500 which have a similar flavor of sound. The M26s have very floppy suspensions which make them more suited to a large sealed box, but Qts is relatively low.
One note - I have a pair of these, each in 3/4 cu.ft sealed behind the seats of my F350, running off separate bridged Sony 150W amps. The bass is by far the best quality I've heard in any mobile system. Kick drums and electric bass are very tight, detailed and full sounding without any overhang.
This is why I thought using the other woofers in some sort of push pull, isobarik or slot loaded bandpass setup. Alot of people turn their noses up at 4th order bandpass systems, but they can sound excellent with the right drivers and enclosure design. The issue can be excessive group delay, which I think is what some people notice in bandpass designs. Port resonances are another big one and it can be difficult to find the right dimensional proportions t avoid this without choking the air flow close to the tuning frequency.

Useless woofer, just send them to me for destruction.
Personally I use a pair as my mid-woofer running from 80/ 120 or so up to the XO point of 400.

Yes a super isobarik Dunlavy linearray, a curvy stylistic and very big speaker. Just find the 2 midranges around the tweeter in the middle. Just 7 drivers on each speakers, the woofer are isobaric, improving bass linearity

The bandpass push pull ? Very limited speaker ...
