You can use anything that measures it accurately, obviously. Hard to believe this is a serious question rather than an advertisement.
I have never used one. Balance the arm and then move the weight in the prescribed manor to achieve the correct weighting. All is explained in the user manual for the arm/deck etc.
Some of the digital stylus force gauges have battery problems, They go dead after 1 day. Don't take my word for it. You can read about it on the internet. Some of the brand X gauges are fine. Some are not with respect to the battery.
I have the Shure SFG-2.
I've found that some older versions of the SFG-2 are not very accurate.
Check the reading, comparing with a known good scale, before relying on it.
