About a year ago a fellow here helped me to make this crapy amplifier, which works suprisingly well.
I dug up the schematic the other day and i keep on wondering what kind of VAS is this?
I do not understang this configuration, or how it functions so i will kindly ask if someone has some spare time,
to explain to me what the hell is this config. I read Bob Cordel s book but its not in there.

Im still thinkin about it tho. How would you aproximately calcualte the voltage gain and the input, output resistance of this VAS?
I know how to do that for one transistor VAS Rc/2*(re + RE), but i havent the slightest idea of how to proceed here.
I know it isnt worthwile analyzing this circuit because its fairly crappy and nothing special, but nontheles i am interested as i am learning about amplifiers

It took me a long look too, so see the "bent" differential pair, that Douglas Self would call a "Hitachi VAS".
Yes its tricky indeed. Do you know perhaps how to analyze the behaviour of this and the estimated gain ?

what does mr. spice say about idle collector current in diff pair i wonder?

Sorry, I have no time at the moment. Maybe someone can play with models and finish the sim file.
I dont have spice at my disposal now. If anybody else has spare time i would kindly ask them to simulate this s**t, because
i wont be peaceful unless i determine approx parameters of this stage.
