What happend to svetlana tubes?

They're still in business, just the front page of their site is down.

been going.. over a hundred years now, i think.. started up in late 1800's, if i recall. (originally made lightbulbs only. svetlana is a girl's name, but svetlo = light)

they made other stuff too though, over the years.. calculators for example..


In the US, "new sensor" owns the name 'svetlana', so real svetlana tubes now carry the original cyrillic S logo (= 'C'.. with wings.. so kind of like this). =(C)=. hehe

new sensor puts a big 'svetlana' and a latin 'S' on their tubes.. which are not actually Svetlana in russia's tubes. Usually they use reflektor lamps i think.


I haven't had experience with modern svetlana lamps though, so i'm not sure how they are.
All my svetlana lamps are 'Sdelano v SSSR' 😉
