I built the mk3 projector found on diyprojector.com but with a much larger box for i wanted to use the globe style bulbs. I added 4 inches to the height and totally changed the box layout design to make easy access with the rear pannel. I bought the lumen labs s15 lens kit before i found this great site for it was going to be the lumen basic until i found out about flipping the lcd over..
When finished I was not happy with how close it needed to be to the screen and with the blurrs caused by keystone correction. Mainly how close for i have a 100 inch high gain glass beaded screen from my old 70's blury crt projector. The screen is new by the way. I decided to move it farther away and get a long trough lens so its not in the middle of the living room. And mount it in the center of the wall so that keystone is no longer an issue just like a nice 17 inch design here. When i started i did not realize how close or i would have gone that route to start with.
I bought this lens on ebay.

Its an 18'' efl opaque lens. It has some small chips but they are on the outside rims and i hope they do not affect operation.
I want to make a NONSPLIT fresnell design! What frenel lens do i need?
Here is all my measurements.
15 inch gateway monitor.
100 inch diagonal screen.
18'' efl lens
eye globe 400 watt bulb with 2 x 1 inch arc tube
The calculator says my new wall to projector distance should be 138 inches but i would rather have a distance of 162 inches but that would require a 22'' lens and would make my picture slightly smaller than 100'' acording to the calculator. I did not find any well priced 22'' lens and not even any referance for a 21'' lens like i would really need so i went with the 18 lens.
I might in the future want to try a 22'' lens so can i get a fresnel set to work with both lens?
Is there a calculator for this?
Any other recomendations?
Thanks

I know that a 550 fl fresnel is recomended for this 18 inch triplet, but From what I have read I am unsure if its recomended for a split or non split design. Fot the non split design is the 55o from 3dlens still a good recomendation?
