The resolution is the same as the PSone screens, so expect similar results. It might be good for a starter project, cause the lcd could be upgraded to a lilliput without any changes other than the lcd. I'm not sure how stripping it would be.
Which lilliput screen would you recommend if I were to build a projector.
..and what is the resolution.
Thanks

This is the one you see most guys in here use. The specs are listed in that auction.
Another screen a few members pointed out had the same lcd screen and is a bit cheaper can be seen here. I haven't seen anyone use this one in a projector yet, but if you look in the LCD forum (I think) someone posted some pics of it disassembled.

puffery
As usual for small format LCDs, the ad has some "less than truthful" statements:
"The resolution is the best among LCD monitors": Pretty much an outright lie, since 14" and 15" LCD monitors almost all have 1024 by 768 pixels, compared to this monitor's 800 by 480 pixels. That's more than twice as many pixels. 17" LCD monitors usually have 1280 by 1024 pixels. That's 3.4 times as many pixels.
Contrast ratio is 200:1. Most 15" and 17" monitors have over 350:1. Some are 450:1.
Not that it is a bad panel. For a 7" LCD, I'm sure it is right up there with any other panel around that size.
