What color wire nuts should I use to wire my magnetic ballast and lamp? I will be using the 120v input. Would yellow be okay?

NO, don't use yellow. That would certainly cause a 'tinting' of the image. I would use white or black, or even clear if you could find them.
^^I think the question is serious-and all you have to consider is the nut being appropriate for the wire sizes being used. I think colors and sizes can vary between manufacturers. The package should tell you.. I know absolutely nothing about projectors.🙂
I thought different colors meant different voltages. I guess I'll just look like heavy duty ones.
I'm pretty sure the average ones at the home centers are all 600v rated. But don't count on it without checking....

The colours of the marrets relate to the gauge of wire that it will handle. The yellow is fine to use, you can also use the black if you like.

I've seen the same size wire nuts in red,yellow,or orange plastic..
Maybe different manyfacturers use different colors for thier sizes,etc..
I've seen big and little ones in every color(even clear!)..I'm not sure there's a "standard" for them.
I know there's different 'types'..some with 'wings' to help twist them on,and some without,etc..
