(Solved) What capacitors for simple crossover.
I have some old Sony bookshelf speakers, not hifi at all but used as test to see if equipment is working.
There is a simple crossover unit in them, a 3.3mfd capacitor in series with 25mm tweeters and an inductor across them.
One of the capacitors has died and I would like to replace them in each speaker. Can anyone advise any suitable types from either RS components or ebay.
Thanks

Make sure your replacement cap isn't 5V or something, 50V or higher to be safe. These are about $1 for 2:
3.3uF 100V Electrolytic Non-Polarized Crossover Capacitor
For something slightly fancy at $5 for a pair:
Audyn Cap Q4 3.3uF 400V MKP Metalized Polypropylene Foil Crossover Capacitor
Replace both speaker caps at the same time.
Best,
