What are these called and where can you buy them?

Desoldering wires from a pcb that cannot be removed from an enclosure or heatsink can be a nightmare. You can of course use connectors, but I would rather solder my connections.

A friend of mine uses special little gold-plated things that he solders to the pcb. The wires are then soldered to these things (on the component side of the pcb). Five can be seen in the attached photo.

They can also be used to raise power resitors to keep heat from the pcb. See second photo.

My problem is we have no idea where you can buy them or what they are called.

Does anyone have any idea what they are called and where you can buy them?

Thanks.

PCB "solder" tags

First, I'd ask your friend where he gets his. In English they are called "PCB mount solder tags" or similar. I did a search and found some here. I guess you could use something like thin brass tubing for model making and create your own. They do seem pretty expensive.
