Wow... what a question. What do you mean by that?
Considering low noise: BC550, BC556, BC549B, BC109B, BC547B, BC179, BC477, BC177.
To make a final choice you will need to consult the tables of technical data which are normally provided in catalogues. I suggest this site:

.pdf files provides information you need.
Peace!

Only none of these are germanium.
These seem to be the most popular:
PNP
NKT275 - the best

OC44
OC75
AC128
NPN
AC176
AC127
OC140

Ups... I forgot... what a shame 😀 these are supposed to be germanium. But is it still possible to buy it?

anyone remember the OC71 ?...oops, showing my age...
(used to be common in the 60s, and you could scrape the paint off and make a phototransisitor...🙂

Germanium Power Transistors
if you are looking for
germanium power transistors ( >= 1 Ampere )
it is not many complementary pairs PNP + NPN
There are however some powerful devices.
I have found one guy selling NEW EXEMPLARS in Original Package of these:
> 2N268 .. PNP .. 80Volt 3Ampere 30Watt .. looks almost like TO-3
> OC16 .. probably PNP ...in older power case
They do NOT come cheap 😎
Complementary Pairs. Often used are:
--------------------------------------
AC127 + AC128 0.3 / 1 Watt
AC187 + AC188 1 / 1 Watt
So 🙂
AC187 (npn) + AC188 (pnp) are one of the few Pairs above 1 Watt
See attached picture of 2N268, 30 Watt PNP

Germanium Transistor List
There are lists with DATA specifications
of some Germanium transistors.
I will put together one PDF or ZIP file, later.
OC16 .. I mentioned is: PNP, 32V 1.5A 6.25Watt
By the way, in
Solid State forum
if you post germanium question there
you will probably get a lot more info from
Older Electronics Repair Service members.
We have quite a few of those at www.diyaudio.com I know
Enjoy 😎
