Hello diy members! I'm Jon living in Tustin, California and I've got a question that I hope you can answer. I have a rarely used WTT Classic almost 8 years old. I was surprised to find that the bottom layer of the base has shifted out of alignment in relation to the top 2 layers. (as you know the base is made up of 3 individual layers sandwiched together). It seams as though over time, the layer has slowly moved out of position. I've attempted to contact WTT (sending a photo) through their web site, but I've gotten no response. My dealer thought that they used Sorbathane as the adhesive. I received a nice response from the chief engineer at Sorbathane, but no viable solution. He thought I should try and freeze the base and then try to break it apart. Does any one have an idea? I have a photo to send if you'd like.
Best regards,
Jon

On thr original WTC (square motor cut-out) they used a 3M adhesive. On the newer models (round motor cut-out) they us 1/8" Isodamp, I believe C-1002, which is available with adhesive on both sides. (I think it's blue/grey in color.)
If you Google Isodamp, you'll find some dealers on the web.
Which ever model fo the WT you have, the Isodamp should work.
How you get the bits apart, I'm not entirely sure.
