Ok I was bored today so I got my ohp out that I bought for $20 on ebay out and decided to take it apart. Strangest thing happened when I got to the fresnel. It wasn't easy to rip out in the first place but then when it came out it fell in to 4 different sheets. This wasn't like any fresnel I had ever seen in my life. It didnt have ring it had lines going straight in diferent directions on every sheet. The ohp was a super old 3M 213 model but the fresnel is what scared the hell out of me when it fell in to 4 different sheets. Does anyone have an have ohp like thiss or does anyone know of any fresnels like this? It's hilarious and strange.
I have the same OHP that you do. I have never used it or taken it apart. I think it has a 360w ENX bulb. I am curious if you ever tested yours on a LCD or projection panel. If you did, what were the results like.

Its a good OHP with absolutely no heat because of the good fan and heat protectant glass. The color of mine was an ugly yellow colorbut I think it was because I had an old bulb that needed replacing. Even with a old bulb though it was very bright bright enough to shine through a solid black LCD screen
Sounds good. I'll pick up a projection panel and give it a shot. All I want with this unit is a 4 foot image for my computer room. It should be good enough for that.

The Fresnels you are talking about are not actally fresnels, they are Lenticulars commonly used now adays for a rptv screen.
