It basically uses the horizontal deflection coils of older TVs to create a sort of oscilloscope.

Has anyone done anything like this?

The common route is to choose an older black and white TV or green screen monitor.

Anyways, I tried making one following these plans and ended up not working. All I get is a horizontal line when the audio is hooked up.
