That attenuator is a bit posh for this application, what would happen guys if I used a 50k pot instead of a 20k pot? Its for a volume control for an integrated amplifier.
Thanks Ed, I have seen the Chinese ones but I have also read about fake Chinese copies, do you think it's a gamble buying one of them?
I am also not sure if an Alps RK27 is worth the extra cost, I have been told that it will make no difference to the sound quality of the amp but will last longer and thus be more reliable than a normal pot.

I have two for future projects but have not used them yet. The link I provided has been up for awhile and I know others have purchased them. All I can faithfully report is a lack of negative reports. YMMV
Thanks chaps, I have found these 50K 20% Pro Audio Potentiometer they are on my side of the pond and are half the price of anywhere else, the only issue is they are 50k pots, what would happen if I used one of these?
