I have recently built my first projecter, which is VERY bright, producing a very watchable image at 110 inchs in only slightly darkened room. The bulb in the slide projecter is a CLS type projection bulb 7300 Lumens, 120 volts, 300 watts, 25 hour life and approx $20/bulb. Question: Is it possible to get better bulb life and keep around the same light output? I am looking to spend maybe $50-$85 on the replacement system and would like a few thousand hours of bulb life. I would like to keep heat levels about the same. Suggestions...
