Hello,
I hope that at least one of you can help with 🙂!
I just describe my concern:
So, my father owns a Wadia WT3200 drive, which has already for some years very rare misfires when playing CDs - regardless of whether pressed or CD-R.
Since the misfires have not been worse for years, I suspect no laser wear, but rather a problem with the laser adjustment or caps (?).
Without these short dropouts it plays perfect - over many hours.
It is also recognized every CD, the TOC is displayed correctly and properly back and forth skipping also works, and all engine and other running noise are completely in the standard.Cleaning the lens was not successful.
The built-in Philips CDM1 drive is very complex, so i need some advices to potential errors!
However:
My father wants to have repaired the fault, he just hangs on the black box 🙂.
In addition, there is no more after-sales service for older Wadia devices in Germany.
Does anybody have a solution to the problem?
Best regards
Andreas
