Looks like Silver Flute is expanding the product line.
I don't see a response graph on the MS website, although they have some suggested alignments, 2 woofer and a 4 woofer box.

?
The responses are probably different, the shielded 8ohm 6.5" was the flattest out to 5khz, but dispersion did not allow crossover point that high. Just cause it measures flat up to 5khz doesn't mean it sounds clean up there, just that it is breaking up nicely.
But overall i recommend the wool paper drivers for the money !!!!!

What makes you think the response will be different? The W17RC38-04 and W17RC38-08 responses are basically identical - within manufacturing and measurement repeatability.
The W17RC38-16 does not appear to be any different except for a 16ohm coil (half the wire gauge, twice the number of windings). Of course, i'm happy to be proven wrong on this assumption.

I could be out of line.
The shielded was best flattest (w17rc38s8.
I should have looked into 4ohm vs 8ohm graphs.
I'll yap more if I think I'm righter.
