Does anyone have any thoughts as to this controller?
If this is available at a resonable price, it looks like it could be great for the 15" uxga screens out there. fleaBay has a bunch out there that are selling in the <$100 range.
The VIPER Series is Data Display’s family of DVI compatible TMDS receiver boards, providing high-quality images for LCD TFT panels. The VIPER Board supports TFT panels from VGA up to UXGA (single channel) and can be used in a variety of systems.
It is developed by Data Display who is able to adapt almost every TFT panel. There are two versions available that differentiate by the feature set. The VIPER 2 is the high end version. It automatically upscales any lower resolution to any output resolution up to UXGA and it downscales any resolution up to UXGA down to the output resolution. The VIPER 1 is the economic version and does not support auto-scaling.
