Hi, this is my first time posting on these forums!
I have a late 60's/early 70's univox guitar amplifier that i picked up for about $100 bucks. I have cleaned /tightened all of the tube sockets, and replaced some of the larger electrolytic oil caps that I knew were bad. My problem is that I'm getting absolutely no sound at all. Not so much as a hiss or a pop. The driver is dead quiet! the speakers work, i've tested them. all of the tubes light up. the power and preamp tubes are brand new. i've tried two different rectifier tubes as well.
there is no schematic available for this amp, but there is one available that is nearly identical : http://www.univox.org/pics/schematics/u255r.gif
any ideas where to begin??

Moving to I & A.
If the tubes light up and you have no sound at all of any kind I would guess that you have no B+ voltage or speakers are not connected to the OPT. Maybe a faulty stand-by switch.
yes, i have determined that there is no B+ reaching the power section. The rectifier tube and socket are good. I tried two different rectifier tubes, so i'm sure they are not at fault. i am getting readings from the power transformer that lead me to believe that it's functioning properly. there is one lead (115v) that i am not getting a reading from.. so it may be bad after all.
speakers are definitely connected to the OT! all of the silly stuff has been checked..
