Antique vintage tube Tektronix 511A Cathode Ray Oscilloscope. Was working 3 years ago. Did not light up this time and did not take the time to troubleshoot. All the tubes are present.
How much is it worth? $500 ?

My father gave 4 of these, fully working and calibrated, to my high school in 1984. They really had no clue what to do with them. Sad. These are huge. Sorry to thread jack.

I imagine someone would have to be a real fan to give you $500 for it. Yet, as these opportunities become less and less frequent...

I had a model not quite as old as yours. Wasn't working, not worth trying to get working, so I gutted it for parts. Some of the mechanicals and potentiometers are quite nice, and are handy for use in troubleshooting my projects. Terminal strips are also quite nice. Depending on how deep you go, a number of the components are suitable for recycling, so it isn't a complete landfill travesty.
@Diabolical Artificer had a Tektronix 585A oscilloscope with a burned out mains transformer they were rewinding. I have no idea if the one in this scope is a replacement, but I'd have to imagine the parts in this thing would be of value to other restorers.
