I own the preamp in the object which came to me with no user's guide.
While cleaning the boards inside, I've noticed there are two micro switches in the phono board, which is capable to amplify MM/MC cartridges. Are they useful to set different capacitance/impedance loads by any chance?
Will you be so kind as to explain how the four positions work? Anyone who is able to post a scheme or provide the user's guide? Thanks.

This might be similiar to the Poco headamp made by Audire. That one had gain switchable 24/32 db gain and not cap/res loading. I might be wrong on the gain as this goes way back in the time machine memory banks..

I use a Diffet 1A and Diffet 3 and have owned the Legato and Diffet 2. The head amp section is the same as the stand alone POCO. I have an original POCO manual and will email it to you if you send me your email address.

Hi DANVIGNAU!
I sincerely hope this finds you well, and you are able to respond!
I just came across this thread from 2011 !! The moderator had to reopen this thread so I could ask a question of you🙂
I've been an avid Audire enthusiast since 1977, when I first bought the Model 1 power amp, then the Diffet 1 preamp at Stereo Haven in Fountain Valley!
I just came across the Poco phono head amp; do you still have a copy of the original manual that came with it? It looks to be in good shape; luckily the batteries were removed so there's no corrosion inside. I'm intrigued by the dual-mono construction (like a lot of Julius' equipment) and as Paul McGowan would say - it's definitely galvanically isolated, being battery operated🙂
Thanks in advance, Richard
