I was able to make a VGA cable 20 foot long using
regular Cat5 UTP cable - but I dont go over 640x480 60hz
looks perfect on my QA-1250 OHP panel - Have not tried
in a real monitor - you should use shielded Cat 5 - but this
may work fine for low rez stuff

I was going to get some Cat 5 STP - and just wanted to
try regular CAT 5 - I had a bunch of old video cards and
Cat 5, so I took a hack saw to one old trident video card
- left the PCB board under the connector alone - make it
easy to solder - and used the a male VGA conector and
hood I got at rat shack - works good 😎

I also tied all my grounds into 1 ground

here is some more info - many thanks go to them
