I recently gave a pair of 8 in Utah/Radio Shack Americana Drivers to a fellow member of the SETriodes forum. This person mentioned that he's having two front panels routed in granite for these drivers.
IIRC these drivers were designed for a reflex type of cabinet so I told this person I'll see if I can get the Thiele/Small parameters of the drivers for him, so he can build the correct cabinets for the drivers.
Does anyone here know what the correct /Small parameters are for these drivers and do you know a cabinet design that's currently available that's suitable for these drivers? I've attached a photo of the actual drivers to be used.
TIA

I used to have a pair of those when I was a young. We also used to buy Utah's at RS to make band PA speakers. All very amateurish and barely listenable. In any case, you will probably find that those speakers were sold before the use of T/S parameters became widespread. I never recall seeing any such specs from Utah for the many drivers my friends and I bought back then. If you want T/S specs for these drivers I'd guess that you will probably have to measure them.

Given their age, and the drift of T/S, you'll need to measure that specific pair to get a good idea.

Ok thanks guys. I'll forward that info to my friend as the drivers are no longer in my possession.
