using jumper cables instead of inverter cable for inverter?

My inverters cables were garbage so I got rid of them (uselessly hopelessly thin and the ring connectors were held on only by a few strands of thin copper)

and so I got 4 or 8 gauge jump starter cable clamps with clamps on both ends and not just one end of 8 feet long

and I was wondering if I HAVE to use ring terminals for the inverter or if I can just clamp the battery cable clamps onto the inverter posts (the clamps are very hefty and strong and sturdy and not flimsy at all)
the inverter posts are at the rear of the inverter on the far left and far right side with the fan in the middle

its a DC 12v to 110v AC power inverter rated 400 watts with 1,000W peak surge rating

but I want to know if I can hook up the cables like that without buying ring terminals and a crimping tool and chopping off the ends of one end of the cables and doing all of that and if i can just use them the way they are.
