HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR EVERY ONE !!!!

costumer come in to my shop with a USHER amplifier . The amplifier was given to him as a "payback" from an old dit claims 150W class A and we just lift the cover to see what is going on inside ...

A gozillion of MJ15024-25 inside +30.000 mfd pair rail for the all amplifier.... sounds and measures more than ok but looks like a "well made" chinese product

Anybody has an idea about these amps ???

( there is a notification in the usher web page about fake products that are lookalikes so i was wondering what is going on ....the costumer will probably sent them a mail to verify serial numbers ... well lets see )

kind regards sakis

They are made in Taiwan, and are a rip-off of some of the Stasis circuitry features (though not entirely, I suspect just enough to keep their nose clean). They sound pretty decent, a little laid back. Very overbuilt for the 150W/ch they promise, even though it is supposed to be Class A.

There was a *big* thread around somewhere on the R1.5 (what you probably have) and the R2.5 amps. I think they only make the 1.5 nowadays.

the design is very close to this one from Mr. Nelson Pass (especially the Stasis aera). It seems that Mr. Pass has perform not only the external design, but perhaps also designed the internal circuit topology for Usher.
I can not imagine that Usher has just clone the stasis series.
A second possibility is that only the visual design is close to that from Mr. Pass and the topology is complete another
