It would only be suitable as the last tube in something like Morgan Jones's 3 stage 5842 RIAA pre-amplifier. Fig. 6.33 (Valve amplifiers 2nd Edition.)
And I'm not sure what you'd have change to keep the filter doing its job as it should. My guess is not much ...the last tube Morgan put in there was a 12b4 (Mu of 6) The requirement for the 3rd tube is a low mu tube...and that is exactly what the 6c19pi is.

I have the first edition of this book,I don´t think they are the same.You dont have a picture of that schema?
Apparently the EC8010 schematic of the phono amp in the 3rd editon is an even better engineered design. And if you have the 1st edition of Valve Amplifiers, the 3rd edition it is definitely worth getting.
