I'm looking for an IC to provide a USB to SPDIF interface. Basically, the cheapest hardware configurable device that can do 24-bit at 48Khz. Some examples that are close, but not exact would be:
CM108B (i think it's limited to 16-bit, let me know if i'm wrong)
PCM290x (also limted to 16-bits)
TE7022L seems to be good fit, but I can't find it in production / for sale anywhere. Leads?
Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated as I've spent some time looking and keep hitting dead-ends with this.

CM6631A does it but its definitely not a cheap chip : USB Audio,PCIe audio,USB audio ic,USB sound chip--C-Media Electronics, Inc.
PCM2704.
PCM2704 pdf, PCM2704 description, PCM2704 datasheets, PCM2704 view ::: ALLDATASHEET :::
Complete PCB's on ebay for about £5GBP
Chip itself about the same from Cina on ebay.
Onboard DAC too but definitely SPDIF Out provided.
(Apologies, not 24 bit.)

Perhaps use one of the Wolfson WM8804/8805?
Cyrrus CS8416?
USB might be a little tricky.
PCM2704 is also limited to 16 bits, no?
Going I2S isn't really an option. AK4118A is doing source select via its SPDIF input mux, and outputting I2S to the DAC section.
CM6642 requires uC code to configure, no? Not a deal-breaker if it's the only option, but avoiding a second uC plus code in the system would be preferred.

MiniDSP has a board based on the XMOS chipset that'll convert USB to I2S. I believe it even supports UAC2: MCHStreamer - USB Audio Swiss-Army knife - Multichannel PCM/DSD/PDM/ADAT/TDM/SPDIF interface

The MiniDSP isn't an IC, which is what I'm looking for here. Surprised this seems to be such a scarce device.
The SA9023 looks quite promising, however I can't find either a dataheet or a source to purchase them from. Anyone have any leads on it?

SA9023 Savitech - not datasheet but some info
Some information on SA9023: link to download PDF file.
SA9023 can be found integrated in products but I didn't try to find it as IC, maybe it is not being offered…
