What would be considered an upgrade to my Alpair 7 Gen 3 drivers? I was looking at the FF105WK drivers but I'm not sure that these would be an upgrade. I use a subwoofer in my system, which is mainly used for You Tube music videos. Thanks for any responses.
There are no Fostex that are an upgrade to A7.3 IMO. It is very good. What do you have them in?

I have A7.3 (MAOP in one case) in my 2 best big WAW. Which suggests that MAOP 7 or 10 would be an upgrade. There could be some exotica that outdoes these, but i have yet to hear one that does.
But adding helper woofers, and relieving the FR have heavy lifting in the bass, usually brings more benefits from the FR being able to do mid/top better than the XO looses. At WAW frequencies XOs are much less evil. But you will need to either figure out an XO, either passive (not easy) or high-level (active or passive) and bi-amp. Surprisingly bi-amping can be cheaper.

I have them in bookshelf sized cabinets (I got the plans from the MarkAudio site years ago and built them out of plywood). I am pretty pleased with the speakers, and was just wondering if something might be better w/o spending a lot of money. What is WAW?

WAW is Wide range and Woofer. Re leave the full range of the bass duties and it will do an even better job of the mid / hi range.

A woofer added below 200-400 Hz or so. Here the ones i am listening too. With A7.3eN.
