that throat is tough to cut - can University's Classic be built with a simple throat with no penalty to its performance ? (say the speaker baffle parallel to the side)
It's primarily what determines its HF performance, but will effect low end too since the flare is changing from a presumably expo to parabolic flare.

I coiuld not get it to show much in hornresp by just changing that section - maybe it needed a better description.
Its a great horn design and I think a 12" version would be pretty good augmented by subwoofer(s) - my fully scaled custom mini Classic came out about 1 inch or less shy in its back chamber to hold a 12" - so needs to be a tad larger.
