Can anyone recommend a UK supplier of good quality power transformers for audio use?
Ideally looking for a beefy R or C core transformer with 2 x 15v centre tapped secondaries with as low impedance as possible.
Any suggestions?

Are the Asian manufactured Selectronic available with inter-winding screens and gauss band.
Are the two legs of the Selectronic wound with the SAME combination of primary and secondary windings?

Andrew, where do you recommend as a source of good quality toroid in the UK witht he features you suggest above?
I can't recall the names of two manufacturers that were recommended in the Forum.

No Thanks guys. I haven't bought from Selectronics, I was just pointing them out as the only place I could find that would supply them. As you say Andrew, they're likely to be the same general purpose cheap Chinese offerings that are on eBay and Alibaba, made to a price, not a standard and not the specialist offering I'm after.
I had a nice chat with Les from Avondale Audio who said all the good UK manufacturers of R and C core transformers he used to use have gone out of business, unable to compete in a market where cheap prices from the far East set the expectation. 🙁
He was very helpful and is sorting me a couple of bits to try though as I'm testing this weekend.
Also heard good things recently about Canterbury Windings, cheers John.
