hi all,
as a simple project i'm thinking of converting my father's Adcom GFA-535II amplifier using UcD180 modules. i was hoping i could hang onto the xformers and heat sinks that're already in there while replacing everything else. it's a true dual mono design, and according to djk in this thread the xformers are 250VA 70VCT, 52VAC at no load. seeing as i need closer to 40VDC for the UcD180's, any way i could get this to work? perhaps a simple pass regulator? i don't have the amp on me at the moment, but when i get it i'll measure what the rails are at right now.
cheers,
dorkus
