Hi,
i've connected a short circuited loudspaker (i v've known that after...) to on of my UCD180 modules, the two dale R05F have burnt, i' don't know why the short circuit protection hasn't work, does anyone knows which components we have to replace after a short circuit ?
thanks in advance for your help...

Same problem with me, I didn't have a short circuit but was playing music very loud, then switched off the amp. Next time I turned it on it was oscillating crazily then it died, I've looked at the module and it is the two power resistors that have burned out
Is this a new module job or can it be fixed?
What caused the failure?

Hi,
You could start two ways.
One way is to trace down the circuit those resistors are a part of and figure out what it is, without looking I'd have to guess it's part of an overcurrent trip circuit, but hey, that's just my guess without looking.
Secondly I can't help but think you'd have done yourselves a great favor by posting this in the existing UCD180 thread, as you'd then assure yourself those who matter will have seen it.
Good luck with getting it worked out.
Chris
