hello everybody
just got super cheap a pair of vintage italian chario monitor (2013 serie , it's the name not the year ) speakers (they look like three way with a woofer and 2 tweeters )
the domes of the tweeters in the middle are damaged : one bumped and the other pierced , they were made with a proprietary treatment of silk material , where can i find a repalce thet' s close to the original domes ?
I have not much experience of speakers repairs , Ichanged some rings on woofers but never domes
many thanks

The "tweeter" in the middle is the midrange driver. 🙂
It seems to be a cone with a decent back chamber. Very hard to find a replacement. Do they look like on the pictures here Progettare HiFi ?

hello
thanks , but it's not that the speakers are very similar to the hyper 2 that you can see here
Chario Hiper MK2 series
chario answered me that the most similar tweeter in production now is the one in the hyper 3 , but it's way toot expensive , I would like to replace e
the silk dome and keep the original coil etc , so I'm looking for domes only not the complete tweeter
thanks peace

Well, then it's more likely the Chario T.S. 2013 speaker:
Riparazione Diffusori
If the midrange drivers do still work then you possibly could try to repair them without exchanging the domes. Restore the shape of the bumped dome (methods are vacuum, sticky tape or needle) and then seal all the holes somehow.

how to fox broken silk tweeter domes
yes they are those
I managed to fix the dome , today , luckily the dome is fastened with 4 screws , so after removing the complete tweeter I removed the 4 screws and the dome disonnected from the magnet , so I looked for a suitable piece of black cloth the best was a piece of old black silk umbrella (almost perfect thickness and almost airproff as it's waterproof ) I used uhu brand yellow glue which ramains flexible and a plastic ball as mold to maintian the shape so I could also press well the glued part with the finger , the glue is supposed to be laced on both parts , to be glued , wait 15 minutes 'till it dries and then press together , but I didn't do that , I put some glue on the black cloth patch , and put it wet under the hole , then put the plastic ball inside the dome under the patch and put everything in position from the outside using the fingers (for a few minutes as the glue is wet in positionable ) pressing without problems
I think it's a very good solution to fix domes , it's almost invisible , mass gain in minimum and flexibility and material (silk and glue ) are almost the same as original ( on the brochire of the speakers says silk with special treatment , that looks like some waterproofing elastic glue )
Many thanks to everybody for the help
Hopefully this solution can help someone else
