Is there a gold inside?

If this tube will make wonderful sound...you must not use it with other tubes or components else it will destroy you holy grail sound....anyway the price is more than a fine tube amp available.

Tube collectors might want it...

Well, i have seen sets been sold on eBay in the last two year for $600, $690 and $499.
That was sellingprice not the askingprice (i contacted the sellers in a few cases after the auction) so why shouldn't i try?? And ofcourse i did pay less.. and the price is quite high but i would be stupid not to try, though??
Check eBay for ECC83 and sort high to low.. you will be shocked for some old Siemens, Philips etc..
Then.. who is stupid ;-)

I have one of these Techtubes, they cost £25 about 5 years ago and were only available for a short time before the company went bust. So "ultra rare" is probably accurate.

They are indeed made from CRT parts. Each of the two triodes is a modified CRT electron gun. I tested mine in guitar amps, the overdrive behaviour was quite different to an original Mullard ECC83 with the Techtube giving a "smoother" overdriven sound.
