Tube Preamp Dock

I've always wanted a cool iPod dock so I can listen my lossless audio files. Licensing is impossible from apple and building a 30 pin connector bypass is not something I would want to mess with. Therefore I came up with a simplified version of this project, a USB DAC with an integrated 12b4 preamp.

Anything I should be worried about or take under consideration?
Can anybody provide me with some good USB DAC builds, I've heard the Burr Brown DACs are the best in the industry and if I could employ something like that, it would be fantastic. If not some other equivalent options are under considerations. Also, where can I find a reliable schematic of the 12b4 preamp? There are so many variations floating around.

Thank you.

EDIT: I stumbled upon this

and

its a DAC with burr brown components and it looks like I can integrate it with a 12b4.
